So, why do I have a link to PayPal on my site?

Since I've had this site up, various people have inquired about whether they could have my address so that they could send money or gifts in thanks for the free availability of all the information this site contains.  

I like this idea.  I like it a lot.  It's like street singing - you stand on the corner and share your gift with the world.  If they like it, they throw money.  If they don't, they throw insults - or computer viruses, in this case.  (Yes, I have had viruses emailed to me.  More than 20 in the past two weeks, in fact.)  

The money provides a benchmark for how much people like what I'm doing.  It shows whether they want to make sure that it survives.  It's kind of like public radio.  (Support your local public radio!)

 Thus, I have added a link to PayPal.  It's safe, it's fast, it's easy, and it protects the privacy of both the donor and the receiver.  Neither person needs to know the actual physical location of the other.
