I broke up with my boyfriend,
and all to please my muse
The angst and rage and trauma
would be fodder I could use

I thought I knew all the problems
with the man that I adored
but when I started writing songs,
oh lordy! I found more

He didn't care for dancing,
he didn't like my songs,
he didn't go romancing,
so I said to him "so long!"
